Privacy Policy
What this website collects, why, and how long it is kept.
Who is responsible
This website is operated by Salman Rasheed. For any question about your data, write to admin@salmanrasheed.io.
What is collected
Enquiry form. If you send an enquiry, the form records your name, email address, the subject you selected, your message, the time of submission, your consent confirmation, and a truncated and hashed form of your IP address used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
Analytics. If analytics is enabled, aggregate usage information is collected: pages viewed, section views, video plays, outbound link clicks and approximate country. Cloudflare Web Analytics is privacy preserving: it sets no cookies, builds no cross site profile and does not fingerprint visitors. If Google Analytics is enabled instead, that is stated in the cookie policy and it does use cookies.
Server logs. Cloudflare records standard request information for security and abuse prevention.
What is not collected
This website does not sell personal data, does not run advertising, does not use advertising trackers and does not build visitor profiles. No account, login or payment is handled here.
Why it is collected
- Enquiry data is processed to reply to you. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, and legitimate interest in responding to professional correspondence.
- Analytics is processed on the basis of legitimate interest in understanding which material is useful.
- Security logging is processed on the basis of legitimate interest in keeping the service available and free of abuse.
Where it is stored
Enquiries are stored in Cloudflare D1, a managed database operated by Cloudflare. Static files are served from Cloudflare’s network. No enquiry data is shared with any third party for marketing.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are retained for twenty four months and then deleted, unless an ongoing professional relationship makes a longer period necessary. Analytics data is retained according to the analytics provider’s own policy.
Third party services
Some sections of this website load content from third parties, and only after you actively choose to load them:
- YouTube, for video playback. Embeds use youtube-nocookie.com and load only after you click a thumbnail.
- Instagram, for reels. Opened in a new tab rather than embedded.
- Testimonial.to, for the student review wall. Loads only after you click to load it.
- Trustpilot, for independent reviews, if and when that section is enabled.
Once you load content from those services, their own privacy policies apply to that interaction.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or withdraw consent. Write to admin@salmanrasheed.io and the request will be handled within thirty days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you may also complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in Australia you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Children
This website is not directed at children under sixteen and no data is knowingly collected from them.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
